Hi All
Just wondered if any of you wear a medic alert bracelet, just in case of an emergency when you wouldn't be able to tell anyone about your conditions, when it might be necessary for them to know before any emergency operations or treatments.
Hi All
Just wondered if any of you wear a medic alert bracelet, just in case of an emergency when you wouldn't be able to tell anyone about your conditions, when it might be necessary for them to know before any emergency operations or treatments.
Yes I do ! I feel it will help for anyone to know in an emergency. I have PV
Not a bracelet but a dog tag mentioning my ET, blood group, emergency contacts and that I bleed very easily due to aspirin. Can't do any harm..!
yes i do , bought it online a while back , you can get some nice ones that dont look obvious
I don't wear a bracelet but carry a medic alert card in my wallet which contains details of myself, next of kin, medical diagnosis and medication taken.
I also have all these details on the medical info page on my iPhone. This is accessed by the emergency tab on the phones home page and your password is not required to gain access.

I don't have a bracelet, but I do have an app on my mobile phone. It's called ICEcard. It contains full details of the illness, the medication I take, Dr's contact details and next of kin/emergency contacts. As with Gerard's iPhone medical info page, it can be accessed without my phones password.

I have one. I'm had it since I was diagnosed. The membership years costs about £30 and depending on the jewellery you have can be from 15-20 all the way to £200. My bracelet cost £100 because I was wearing it daily I wanted it to be pretty and sturdy.
I have/had PV now grading to wade MF Jak2+, liver Cirrhosis and Portal Vein thrombosis, it lists this on my bracelet and mentioned about medications, then gives a number to call And my membership number xx
Hey all...
Yes, me too... except mine is a black dog-tag with my MPN described in case of emergency... Seemed like a good idea, just in case...

Thank you all. I will get it sorted . I just never thought about it before. X
Hi jodary , I have a dog tag with "Essential Thrombocythemiea risk of bleeding and Thrombosis", also card in my wallet and now we have no tax disks in the Uk , one in the corner of the windscreen of the car that Medic alert provided.
all the bet town crier
Yes I do. I ordered mine on Amazon.
I have been thinking this, too. I have a necklace where you can write things in a paper inside, but I'd be interested to get a bracelet. I currently only wear it when I travel, but probably should wear it at home, too.
Do you engrave medication, too, as it can change from time to time?
Thanks,
Moina
