I had the same problem. At a London forum, someone suggested patting myself dry rather than rubbing. It worked. It was the action of rubbing rather than contact with water which was causing the problem.
Hi Ainslie. I found this post from you. Since going back onto Hydroxy, my itching all over (even without showering or any water) has increased to the point where I don't know what to do with myself. Without Hydroxy, this didn't happen. I'm trying 1 Piriton tablet at night, and it seems to be helping slightly, but I saw your post and wondered about the syrup. Can I get that easily? What is the UVB narrow band that you mentioned? I hope you can help before I go mad!!
