Morning all.

I have been jak2 positive PRV 2yr+ and I get on with life fairly normal given the condition.

Itching:

What do you do. I itch after a bath a shower or even if body sweats.

I've tried cool water warm water hot water

To no avail.

I'm on hydroxy 500 mg and asprin

Any help to this problem.

Frank

I had the same problem. At a London forum, someone suggested patting myself dry rather than rubbing. It worked. It was the action of rubbing rather than contact with water which was causing the problem.

Cheers

For itch I use UVB narrow band, it has reduced my itch from unbearable to almost unnoticable

Hi

If rubbing hasn't worked, I haven't showered or bathed for 4 years so bad was the ghastly aquagenic pruritis!

I'm assured I don't pong - extremities are fine with water so I use a bidet and basin.

If that doesn't appeal try piriton syrup.

Hi Ainslie. I found this post from you. Since going back onto Hydroxy, my itching all over (even without showering or any water) has increased to the point where I don't know what to do with myself. Without Hydroxy, this didn't happen. I'm trying 1 Piriton tablet at night, and it seems to be helping slightly, but I saw your post and wondered about the syrup. Can I get that easily? What is the UVB narrow band that you mentioned? I hope you can help before I go mad!!
