My name is Amanda, and I am a mature student currently in the final year of an MSc in Consciousness, Spirituality & Transpersonal Psychology at The Alef Trust (affiliated with Liverpool John Moores University). I am about to commence my Dissertation exploring the lived experience of social discourse on involuntarily childless women, something I have both personal experience of, and am passionate about. The title of the study is “Do you have children – and what to say if you don’t? How do individuals who are involuntarily childless experience social discourse surrounding normative family life?”
I would be interested in finding out whether there is an opportunity to seek participants for my research via your network, as I feel there is considerable alignment in the work you do and the aims of my research. Attached below are a Gatekeeper Information Sheet and Consent Form which outlines the aims of the research, participant criteria and how it may benefit those women who have found themselves to be involuntarily childless.
