It take pizotifen and amitriptyline for vestibular migraine which seems to reduce the headaches but doesn't help with the constant feeling of being on the deck of a ship or walking on a marshmallow floor. Is anyone else experiencing that?

hi,

I have been on both of these separately not together, is there any way of upping one of them to see if it would help?

I have also found that sometimes a side effect of these tablets are also dizziness and feeling of moving so it can be hard to figure out if it’s a side effect or the condition.

xx

Hi I take amitriptyline with no side effects apart from having vivid dreams. I did previous up the dosage but had palpitations and had to return to a lower dose which is still giving me very good results combined with Riboflavin supplement and co enzyme q 10

What dose are you on? Like someone else said can you speak to your neurologist about what your maximum dose is and carry on titrating up say once every 6 weeks until you feel some relief? I also have what you have. I was on nortriptyline and went 40mg initially and then had to go up to 75mg and took 2 pizotifen tablets in the evening and morning I think ( it was a few years ago now) but my neuro-otologist told me what my maximum dose allowable was. I got to 40mg and found relief for about 6 months of the boat feeling.

Thank you, that's helpful to know. I'm now on Rimegepant and it's made a huge difference. Headaches are almost gone and the boat feeling is more tolerable. I'm now trying gradually reducing amitriptyline. I hope you are still getting some relief.
