I have been getting migranes with aura 3 times a month on average. However today I got one which lasted the normal 30 mins and then I got another 2hrs later. Is this normal as i do not usually get one after the other so it has spooked me a bit. I have had a MRI scan a few month ago and it was all clear
Any advice or similar
Thanks

Hi Asley, yeah this is normal. I have aura migraines and can have it numerous times with one attack. Mine are affected by light so migraine sunglasses are a godsend for me.
Me too - I did once have 4 in a day, felt absolutely crap, whereas just one is manageable. I'll just add I don't get aura migraine at all since I gave up dairy, particularly my extreme cheese habit...
I'd suggest cutting it out completely for a period of time, say 3 months. If there's no difference, start eating it again... I find I can still eat some butter, a little dairy cream occasionally, but actual cheese is the biggest problem. Trouble is, its easy to replace milk (I use Tesco unsweetened soya) and there's coconut or nut yoghurts, but there really is no substitute for proper cheese... sadly, I still miss it even after a year! But I did a test 3 months back - ate a cheese and onion sandwich 3 days apart, sheer heaven to taste, and bingo, aura migraine...
Ashy83.. I suffer with chronic severe migraines since my car accident. I never had migraines until that day. I get like 10 migraines month plus on top of that I suffer with chronic neck pain do to the accident. I'm on migraines medications and I'm also on the ajovy shot once a month. It's been helping but when my neck starts to act up then my migraines come harder and longer. Cold pack helps laying in the dark helps. Different things help for different people but when u take a MRI it won't really show unless ur having a bad one. My scans don't show but when I get that tension pain it shows a little bit. I have trama that's why I deal with all this pain.
