I take the same dose of Fexofenadine as you. It has not helped my migraines at all, Fexofenadine is an antihistamine, so it may be suppressing something that triggered your migraines. But that's just conjecture on my part, as I'm not a medical professional.

Glad you've found relief from your migraines.

Hi Thank you i'm not sure how long it will last as i have been here before with other meds for migraine - i tried to lower dose to 120mg as i dont like taking them and had 2 migraines - feels amazing as i can have a drink eat chocolate no side effects other than head fog - i was going through loads of zolmitriptan and have been offered botox but declined due to side effects xx

I would be worrying about the negative effects of taking a daily antihistamine, although I think Fexofenodine is from the newer class of antihistamines which are definitely better in that tespect. High daily doses of the old ones were linked to dementia and other neurological problems? Is 180 a high dose? My nephew has to take an antihistamine everyday since he was 2 and I know this is a concern for his parents.

I started to take a daily antihistamine to help my occular migraines and it seemed to halt them but as with all tablets they had a side effect taking everyday, my mood was affected (felt angry and irritable and a little depressed!) so I just take them occasionally, so far the occular migraines have almost stopped but dont want to speak too soon!

I was already taking Fexofenadine daily for other allergy issues when my migraines re-started so I know they don't work for me. However as has been said, it could have been an allergy reaction that was the trigger for your migraines.

So far I've been taking Fexofenadine daily for over 3 years without any ill effects, hopefully that will continue, but I do worry about the amount of medication I have to take, especially on a daily basis.
