Migraine/headache

I have suffered from migraines for about 7 years now also suffer from anxiety. I had a really bad migraine on Tuesday and since the had a dull ache that comes and goes continuously. Has anybody else had this??

Have you had blood tests done? There are a number of conditions - including B12 deficiency and thyroid conditions that include migraine type headaches and anxiety in their symptoms ... and my personal experience implies that on top of an underlying pattern of migraines both can make those worse.

If you have had a headache that has gone on for that long and it really is out of character with normal migraines I'd suggest that you talk to your GP.

Yes after my migraines I can have an ache in my head that last 2 or3 more days. It feels like a sharp object has been left there and stuck. I have an autoimmune thyroid disorder. Currently trying prophylactic drugs for migraine.

Heatherd1986 what medication are you on? did you take painkillers or any triptan for migraine relief?

Yep, I'm in the same boat, had weird headaches and feeling anxiety and stress, had my bloods done and im b12 deficient and also over medicated for my thyroid.

I had a migraine on Tuesday and Thursday which made me feel unwell then the anxiety kicks in which make me feel even worst. I’m constantly waiting for my next migraine which makes my anxiety worse. I feel like I’m going round in a circles. If it’s not migraines it’s the anxiety. I have had migraines since I was 15 years old.

I have the same problem as you have. Not only migraine and anxiety I have, but have I also depression. The medication for depression make me gain weight a lot, therefore, it lets me down so much. Hope anyone can give me some suggestion.

I suffer/suffered with terrible anxiety alongside migraine, and couldn't tolerate anti depressants at all. I now take slow release propranalol which has helped massively with the anxiety, and reduced the severity of my migraine. I'm also having some success with daily antihistamines regarding frequency.
