I am a tb/meningitis and grand mal convulsions survivor who now tries and sometimes fails to deal with daily chronic migraines
I applied for PIP a few months ago and got rejected straight away, saying m i can walk 200 meters unaided, can cook for myself blah blah blah so i re applied n they sent a letter saying there is insufficient evidence to award you PIP
My question is how do you successfully get granted PIP.
I have suffered with migraines for 40+ years. My last attack made me end up in A&E as i couldn't function, uncontrollable shaking, unsteady on my feet etc
Any input on this would be hugely appreciated.

Omg this just happened to me! I can walk 200yrds, wipe my own erse, feed myself and even although my doc, neurologist and max facial specialists sent supporting evidence i am unable to work i still got your ltr just last wk.
I just had my DLA taken away, I have migraine charts that I have to to keep and show my neurologist bc I have to have over 15 days a month of migraine or I don't qualify for botox. Despite never not qualfying the asseser said 'i seemed fine' in the interview! Ive been on DLA for 15 years i was too upset to cope with the appeal process.
I have fibromyalgia, PBD, IBS and various other conditions like social phobia all very well documented and they still took it away.
I really sympathise with you. I have migraines but not as bad as yours and, although now retired, I know that if I hadn't worked for the Civil Service no private employer would have employed me because of the amount of time I had off work. All I can suggest is that you go to Citizens Advice and appeal against the decision. Good luck.
