I had Botox done 3 years ago for my migraines. I had every possible side effect so this did not work for me. I walked into Emergency a month after and was sent home being told I had the 1% bad reaction. 3 weeks ago I had a Grand Mal seizure. Doctors think I had a stroke 3 years ago. Botox? Waiting for an MRI to confirm.
Never again...: I had Botox done... - National Migraine...
Never again...
The doctors have discovered an inch long lesion on my brain?
I'm so sorry for what has happened to you
I was scheduled for BOTOX treatment 3 years ago, and was given proper information to make an informed decision except there could be sought bleeding at the site of injections. I looked on the internet and then I really deliberated over it, and obviously didn't take lightly like the idea of injecting the most acutely poisonous natural substance known to man into and across my entire head and nape of my neck! But I was desperate because of the unrelenting pain.
I didn't tell my children about the procedure, as my neurologist assured me it wasn't dangerous, was quick and simple, and that it couldn't spread beyond the multiple injection sites.
My middle daughter woke early one morning in a sweat and literally shaking. She eventually told me that in the dream I went to the hospital and she could see into the room - and they injected me in my head and then I stopped breathing and there were people panicking and rushing around trying to bring me back, and that the doctors were telling my Mum who was in the room to leave and how she attacked them (with a Coconut) and kept shouting you lied to us, you lied to us!!!
I consoled my daughter and reminded her that it was a dream. But I also told her of the procedure I was due to have in 2 days time. Needless to say I didn't have that procedure and I'm grateful for my daughter's intuition, who knows what effect Botox would have had on my already troubled body, but I wasn't about to start gambling xx
I have since read of too many horrible stories like yours, of life threatening side effects that remain for YEARS following.
Hi I have now had 3 sessions of Botox for chronic migraine. I have suffered for 37 years. I used to have around 20-25 migraines a month. Now I have 4-6. When they come they are not as bad and sumatriptan will take them away. I have a new look on life, my mind feels clearer and I am sleeping instead of waking after 4 hours with massive neck/head pain.
I am lucky I have had absolutely no side effects apart from a bit of stiffness in my neck for a few days after injections. I would recommend Botox from my own experience. Obviously it's different for each individual.
I hope you're feeling better Sherriann x
Thats brilliant jackie 😁 I'm definitely getting results from cbd oil and green lenses 👍.
