I have been on levothyroxine for underactive thyroid for approx 3 weeks and have had migrain that is getting steadily worse for about 12 days. Does anyone know if it could be the new medication, i am thinking about getting an emergency appointment at the docs today.

Hi -I've been on it 7 days and my chronic headache has been significantly worse since day 2. I tried Levo 2yrs ago when I was migraine preventTives and even then I had a bad headache for a week. So yes it can cause this but i was hoping it would stop soon. 3 weeks is a lot longer. What dose are you on?

Hi, thanks for posting, i'm on the lowest dose of 50mg at the moment. I've just made an appointment to see the doctor at lunchtime. I have liquid morphine for my migraines and even that isn't taking the pain away so i want to see what can be done if anything.

I've been put on 25mcg. Do you normally get headaches / migraine? I hope it goes soon. How hypo are you ?

All I can say is that some people do have an issue with headaches initially or with dosage increases but that isn't much comfort if there is no sign of it calming down 😖
