particularly as there isn't actually a good test for B12 deficiency and people can be symptomatic even though there blood results can come back labelled 'normal'

I had the same experience this summer after several months of headaches. I thought I'd had a stroke twice in the same day but there were no after effects. Months later they found that a vein had burst in my head, similar to an aneurysm, but they considered this a spontaneous event. As a result I will be having minor brain surgery to repair the hole as it is leaky blood behind my eye and pushing my eye out. It is acting like glaucoma. Once the bleeding is stopped, my eye pressure will drop dramatically.
In the meantime I have to wear an eye patch because everything is double. I can't wait because I can no longer drive (reading is not affected) but the best news, is the months of migraines leading up to the double vision is no longer there. I wanted to mention this on this group because it was not something any of my doctors or specialists knew until they did a CT scan and angiogram.
I'm sorry for your what your experiencing. My migraines are indistinguishable from strokes, but so far I have been lucky and all of mine have been migraines. I take antiseizure drugs and a beta blocker. I also determined that my diet is the key to prevention of ER visits for me. I have "almost" removed processed foods from my diet. I make my own salad dressings. I can create pasta dis he's that I love! I have become so creative with foods that are safe and healthy for me. I am not missing anything.I feel great and no migraines or hospital bills!
