Zero waste, for so many years, was a pipe dream. Here is an example that shows it is quite possible. However, burning spent grain will still have residual waste in the form of carbon or soot released into the air. Is there a way the system eliminates that polluting factor?

Waste does not only include solid, gaseous or liquid refuse but even energy such as heat or light. Burning merely transforms something into another form, in this case, heat energy. Not all of that heat is used to power generators but a certain amount is released into the atmosphere or absorbed by its surroundings. We can continue monitoring where every bit of energy goes and we end up wasting so much mental energy, etc. Zero is unreachable!
