Anxiety can certainly cause a range of physical symptoms, of which some could be mistaken for IBS.

Yes, Anxiety, and possible depression caused by your Anxiety. Has your Doctor given you any medications for IBS

Thank you. I’m getting myself so stressed which isn’t helping 😩I’m sure it’s anxiety/ depression related. Only taken Colpermil. Dr hasn’t given me anything.

You need confirmation regards your condition so you can address the situation you find yourself in. I know at this time been able to sit in the same room as your Doctor can be problematic. I have been in the same situation and I have managed to get a face to face next week and a telephone appointment on the 29th, it is to far in the future. Give your Surgery a call and see what can be arranged

Sounds like Anxiety, try not to worry to much, enjoy Christmas and New Year it would be a shame if you could not enjoy your food and possible drink

I get this too. It's anxiety related, but not necessarily ibs unless confirmed by a doctor. I know how uncomfortable it feels. Hope things improve for you.

I sometimes have a dry mouth and feel panicky. Just wondered if you suffer with these symptoms?

Lloyd...Yes it absolutely can! There are so many ranges of physical pain the are caused from anxiety. The fact that your blood work came back normal is great. If you ever want to know if something is wrong it will show in your blood work.

I could have written this....every morning as soon as I wake up it literally runs out of me.Tomorrow I have to have a blood test and stool sample but I’m positive it will come back normal as I know it’s the anxiety.

Just want to know what I can do to help it as loosing so much weight.

I did have it July/Aug but when the doctor changed my meds it seem to stop but it’s come back big time about 8 days ago.Spoke to the doctor this morning and she’s told me to take some Imodium while we wait for the test results

What tests did you have? Was it a ‘fit’ stool test?

Whiskers16 profile image
Whiskers16 in reply to Lloydy1959

Not sure to be honest but she said if it come back ok then she may refer me for further investigation just to make sure we’re not missing anything... pretty sure it’s anxiety
