Hi

I am on escitalopram and on week 4 and getting headaches still was wondering if that’s normal spoke to the gp and he wants to change me to citalopram will that be ok to change or will I regret it and will I have to start the cycle again of weighting for it to settle or will it pick up from where I am wirh the other meds ?

I’m on sertraline week 4 and still have headaches so I think its quite normal as your brain adapts to the medication. My gp says he wants me to carry on with them as if we change I have to go through up the start up of a new drug and withdrawal of the current med so not going to swap x seriously couldn’t cope with that x hope you settle soon x

When I started with Escitalopram it took me about 5-6 weeks to stop my headache. So better to hold for at least another week, than changing meds.
