Omg I only been taking it 4 weeks Only 15 mg ..and don’t like it ..it makes me feel more depressed And spaced out with not any feelings..love hate or anything..I’m thinking about stop it now before it gets out of hand ..can you go to the doctor and change to something else.? .I think mirtazapine is not at all motivated and is not good for depression or anxiety..Hope you feels better soon.. 🙏🏽 Bela

hmm how strange, i was put on sertraline for the first 2 weeks and became the most depressed i have ever been. Doc switched me to mirtaz and i feel so much better. But i do feel nothing tbh, but its better tham sertraline that made me not leave my bed for 3 days. I wish i could just rewind and never of sunk so low because with anti depressants, u just feel odd all the time.

Have words with your GP is you feel the medication is not working. I suffer feeling dead every so often, it lasts a few days and I am ok again. However I need to allow for Opiates I have to take as well. I have been on this type of AD now for thirty years, and they will see me out. You cannot explain nothing but good days in life, whether you are on AD or not moods change

Your GP may look at the dose and how you are feeling in general, follow His advice

Oh boy I remember that being my first anti depressant/anxiety medication back in 2010. I was also suffering severe panic attacks that were so disabling. It really did help to stop the fear, depression, and severe anxiety so I could at least stop shaking. The side effects though turned me from a fit jock to an over weight desk jockey at work. I had to weigh which was the lesser of two evils and chose to stay on Mirtazpine aka Remeron for about 1 1/2 yr. I had to finally get off it and transition to something else when the weight thing was harming me worse than the mental illness. The effects are different for everyone but for me it worked long enough to recover.

Just remember to report any concerns and/or side effects with your provider. There are other drugs and you should communicate with your psychiatrist any concerns especially this dead feeling you describe. Hopefully it has at the minimum been helpful too.
