Sertraline side affects?

I was started on 50mg of Sertraline just over two weeks ago, since then, I've had headaches and pain and pressure around my eyes and nose. Has anyone experienced this?

Generally for Anxiety and Depression allow five weeks for the drug to work.

We are all different when it comes down to medications and if they suit us, so I would advise looking the drug up on NHS Information Drug List A/Z and check side affects. You could also have words with the Surgery.

Two weeks is not long it may be you need to be patient and allow more time as advised.

Your Headaches may be caused by stress

Agree with BOB - the ramp-up period is the worst part. I've been taking Sertaline for a while and I think you may need up to 6-8 weeks for it to stabilise. But if your side effects are in the serious category, see the Dr!

My doctor told me to start with half a tablet for the first week to lessen side effects.
