i know that everyone’s recovery time is different but I would appreciate it everyone who reads this can reply.

when did you guys get back to wearing normal underwear post operation?

as I think you know from me straight away but don’t think that’s a common thing. I think you’ve answered own question tbf in what you say that everyone is different so the correct answer for you will be when ready I believe

Hi, it took me between 3 - 4 weeks. Im now 8 months healed. Give it some time it will settle

About 8 weeks. First two weeks, none for healing purposes. Then had a cricket box type thing for about 2 or 3 weeks when walking about. Then neoprene type y-fronts to prevent sticking, then gradually returned to normal cotton wear at week 8.

Yep! Microfiber briefs were my go-to underwear from months 2 to 4.

I am a surfer so I actually just walked around in boardshorts with no underwear for most of the healing stage, but i hate underwear pre and post circumcision.

You will see that everyone is different as predicted. A quick search in the forum would have made that obvious.

I was wearing briefs from around week 5 onwards, back into pre-op cotton pants around month 4.

I wore a jockstrap for about 3 or 4 days, then supportive briefs for 3 or 4 weeks. After that I went back to trunk type shorts.

hi there, I’m just over 2 weeks and wearing normal underwear and jeans. A little discomfort doing that when walking around outside. It felt like it’d never happen, but a few days ago it was like a switch. I’ve used Vaseline on the glans to stop sticking, and underwear is cotton trunk style so supportive.

One thing I’m still stressing about is donut swelling behind the glans, and as the stitches come out still some slight bleeding around the frenulum.

How are other folks faring on the swelling side?
