I got circumcised 5 weeks back. Today met my Doc, he says healing is almost done and he also removed the remaining 5 sutures. I am still not able to retract my foreskin beyond 2 cms in erected state. The scar line area is still tight and lacks elasticity.
Did anyone face a similar issue ?

I am also 5 weeks, I was told not to put anything on the scar line until fully healed and found the scar was becoming very hard and non-elastic so started to apply some vaseline which greatly helped. I have just started using Silicone scar gel, interesting that this never seems to be mentioned whereas bio-oil is mentioned a lot. I have found the Gel to be good after just a few days use. My scar line is still sore in places where there are some raised bumps, I suspect stitches are still dissolving in these areas
Hi there, welcome to the Circ Bros (just a name I throw around for us circed guys). 5 weeks is still early days and over time you will notice everything stretching out. I found Vaseline (or plain petroleum jelly) to be very soothing and helped protect the scar line while keeping stitch ends from snagging in my pants. By about the 8-week mark, despite some minor bumps and lumps on the scar line, things were feeling much more loose and stretched out. Stitch material stays in your body for at least 6 months just dissolving away under the scar line, so you might feel discomfort from time to time. But, as the weeks pass, you'll feel better and better. I'm at 8 months healed now and feeling great - I regret nothing except not having it sooner to sort my lifelong phimosis and adhesions on my glands.
I also have some small bumps on the scar line. It might be due to sutures, They get swollen and red at the time of erection. I have been asked to apply coconut oil and stretch the foreskin. My foreskin gets stuck just below the glans and the erection is little painful, can really feel the skin stretching. But there is no way i can masturbate since the skin gets stuck and does not move at all.
