I got my zsr circumcision done 2 days ago. My silicon ring started coming off after one day. I had swelling on left side of my penis (both forward and behind the ring). I consulted my doctor but he says it is normal and not to worry however he has given me strong antibiotics. I suspect that the doctor I consulted wasn't experienced and now he is lying to me. I have noted staples are attached to the silicon ring which has started coming off partially. Please advise. Thanks.

ZSR circumcision
mine started to come apart after day 8 . but i don't think its suppose to come off on day 2. but if you are in doubt consult with some other urologist.
Thank you Joe. I will do that.
Avoid erections.
Thanks, I am using ice pack to avoid erections.
It is better to physically consult your doctor immediately. I had a similar incident, when the ring started coming off at frenulum at day 4. The whole area got infected, and finally they had to stitched the whole area. It is okay now.
I did visit the doctor but he is saying not to worry it will be fine. He is the only urologist conducting zsr in our area. Contacted other urologist here and they aren't able to assist. Tried calling another Urologist at Delhi but he never picks up the call. I am clueless. I can even see staples hanging off with the ring. I am scared but can't travel far off distance without having an appointment. My urologist has called me again tomorrow. I will insist that he checks it properly and if required give me manual stitches.
My case was different. The silicon ring slided off and pushed into the healing area, which infected it. If there is no bleeding, or any tearing of incision line, then it might be okay and you don't have to worry. Just apply the ointment and take medication. Reguarly check the area for any sign of infection. Take ample water and rest properly.
Thank you SKS26 for your good advice. I don't have any bleeding or tearing of incision. Bleeding was there while I moved around but now I am taking complete rest. Swelling is there. I can't see the incision line much. But I did try a sneak peak and it looks okay. I was also increase my water intake. Thanks again.
I visited my urologist today again. He insisted that all is well. However he accepted today that mine was his first zsr surgery. He says, wound looks good and no infection just slight amount of blood which is normal. But he has told me to stop dressing my wound and keep it open for quick drying. Any idea, how long should I keep dressing my wound. I mean, how long did you do it??? Thanks.
Unfortunately, he is clueless why the ring and few staples have started falling off. But he said as such the skin is holding fine and not to worry.
I kept the bandage on for nearly 3 weeks. Initially, I used to open it everyday, clean the area with warm water and again keep the bandage with ointment. My doctor told me not to clean it often, so I started to open it in 2-3 days or so..
After 2 weeks, I just kept 1 layer dressing gauge wrapped around it with the help of dressing tape, only to avoid discomfort of sensitivity.
Thank you, well noted. I will follow the same procedure.
