Glans Ring Damage?

Hi, I started wearing a Glans ring (metal) earlier this year to assist with keeping my foreskin back, but I had to stop wearing it as I have found that it caused pain/soreness on the left side of my penis under the rim of the glans & near the frenulum.

Although I have stopped wearing the glans ring the pain/soreness is still there. Does this mean that I could have caused some sort of permanent nerve damage to my penis &/or does it mean that I may have to have a circumcision?

BTW I have been keeping my foreskin fully retracted at all times for the past 15 years & I have never had any problems until I started wearing the glans ring.

Luckily, I am having no problems with peeing, getting an erection or ejaculating but it is not very pleasant having a constant feeling of discomfort.

Any thoughts, comments, advice or opinions would be most appreciated.

Why have you been keeping your foreskin retracted?

If you have caused nerve damage just under the glans I do not see how a circumcision would resolve it

Don't understand why any man would want to leave glans exposed. I'm very grateful that my foreskin keeps my glans protected and I only retract to pee.
