Hi

I finally got checked out today. Been worried about my penis stinging quite bad specially when peeing. My Doctor check said i had tropical infection from the itching. Said i could have Eczema or something else. Then mentioned i need to see a Uroglist as my head could be stuck. As it wont come out. I was worried what it could mean. Could i lose the glands off penis if its trapped? will i need a op to get it back out?

It's too early to tell man. The urology appointment should identify what the problem is so they can give you the right treatment. Chances are that will be ointment or antibiotics. You're not going to lose your glans but the worst case scenario might be your foreskin.

if it's yeast, you can use over the counter anti fungal like clotrimazole every 3 hours for 3 days and then at least 3 days more. Or try another jock itch med. it was quite painful and swollen when this happened to my son. Cleared quickly with that treatment though. No steroids or antibiotics though if it's yeast or it can get worse. Then soak all the underwear in vinegar and wash hot. Keep things dry. You can also sitz bath w baking soda then rinse to help with symptoms. But if it's not yeast then you probably won't see improvement after 1-2 days of treatment. I said yeast bc it sounded like there could be some swelling and it's making the the skin tight. Could be wrong

Best to avoid baking soda to bathe the penis and use ordinary table salt in the water. Epsom salts are often used for muscular problems.

As for the infection, it could be controlled very quickly with proper treatment, and as for whether the head of the penis could get stuck, I think not.
