How long to heal ? As a manual worker how long before back to work without any pain etc discomfort

hey bro. I found I could move about ok after about 2 weeks by wearing tight pants to keep my penis held in one place. I wore tight briefs then boxers over the top. Use petroleum jelly on the head to help stop soreness. Even after that, bending down or other extended movements sometimes caused discomfort and by the end of the day I was ready to rest up!

Hi bro, it's been 3 weeks since my circumcision and I've started to walk around more due to work and my penis is feeling very sore especially from the head to the cut. Is this normal and should I cut back on walking around too much? I am wearing tight pants which helps me move around. Thanks in advance

Hey bro. There's no substitute for rest. If you can't avoid moving about then try using a dressing/bandage as well as tight pants. Vaseline helps on the head too.

Thanks bro I will do this. I will also try and rest as much as I can between work. The more I walk the more sore it feels. How many more weeks would you say before it feels better and not so sore when walking? Thanks

I'm going into week 5 and moving about is fine now. I'm still in tight fitting underwear, and it still hurts when say a towel bangs on it after a shower. How does the wound/scar and healing look?

Ok I hope it gets better in the next 2 weeks as am only on week 3. The wound seems to be healing but I have a scab near the bottom of head which I am trying not to touch and hope it falls off. It does get sweaty on my shaft underneath when in tight underwear all day is this normal? Thanks

Yes. Can't really avoid. I washed mine in diluted salt water daily just to keep things clean. Maybe get underwear made with breathable fabric? Whereabouts are you? I'm in the uk and it's winter g er ex as I bit sweating much!

Yes same here am in the the Midlands UK. Thanks I thought it was just me suffering with daily sweat down there. I've been washing once a day in the shower to keep clean. I've been wearing tight cotton underwear as I cannot wear boxers due to sensitive glans. I will look into one with breathable fabric. Has your sensitivity got better?

Definitely. After week 3 it improved. Still a bit sensitive but much better (week 5)

I went back to work after 10 days and it was a mistake. Having a foreskin for 62 years and then losing it due to health reasons took me around 2 months to be able to move around comfortably. The first few weeks at work were horrendous, but very tight underwear helped enormously. I opted for laser circumcision which made things heal up much quicker than conventional methods.

😂 well fair play! I was 2 weeks off and 2 weeks working from home. 10 weeks now and still in discomfort to a.small degree.

Maybe I was just lucky

I’m four months now and couldn’t be happier with my cut which was low and medium not too loose not too tight frenulum still in tact with just slight alteration it was slowest to heal a bit sensitive nothing too worry about I did not take any medication painkillers etc

Only regret not having the cut years ago it’s just so neat and tidy now

I lived on painkillers for about three weeks lol!

Spiral123 I think no two dicks are the same. Lol. You faired well. Sounds like it was a good decision and result. I needed it medically and sounds like I got the same cut as you. My surgeon said "it's a 'normal' circumcision, for medical need not vanity and not in the realms of plastic surgery as you get in America" !

mine was done in Melbourne Australia by a surgeon /urologist who trained in Europe and the US his advise was not to get it cut too tight as that can cause lots of pain later remember i was done as an adult ,

and now no problem jerking off or intercourse no lub needed but i do use lub sometimes just cos it feels nice , and i do like the nice bare head and the wife loves the look which is a bonus lol

i will say the first couple of times the wife jerked me off after circumcision it did take a bit longer to cum that was about 4/5 weeks after the op but seemed a bit less volume too . but now its all normal but as guys we always want to blow more cum lol any tips ?

Not sure I've any tips for blowing more cum. It's a myth that you can store up a big load over days. The body absorbs excess semen, so no guy has more than a day's worth. I guess it's down to the size of your balls! I'm week 5 post op now and I'm finding I'm getting very hard and staying hard for longer after shooting than I did before so I'm happy with that. Same amount of cum and I can actually shoot it now which I couldn't before as my skin never pulled back! I too love having my head out. Never saw it before due to my Phimosis. So overall I'm pleased. Surgeon told me I've got a good looking penis. I'll take that!

I would say you need a couple of weeks off at least. Bending and lifting will not help the healing process at all.

I suggest you talk to occupational health if you have such a department. My manager rang me at home and asked could I walk ? As if I could walk I could work, in his opinion. He referred me to Occy Health, who signed me off for six weeks ! 😉

It is what it is. Imagine if something where to go wrong and you had to be off for even longer ?

I know most employers are unsympathetic but you should definitely tell them, at least then if there is an issue it is their problem.
