Hello, 52 year old male, and find it's hard to achieve orgasam when masturbating, without a long hard go at it. Can achieve an 8inch erection no problem, but takes for ever to get off. Any help from anyone, or is it just the age.

Penis Sensitivity
Medication causing problem ? Or maybe due to you being anxious to perform, try and relax
Thanks for your help, I'm on blood pressure and depression medication, maybe that's it?I was circumcised about 40 years ago.
My wife isn't that keen on sex, so that's why I masturbate, so it's just me. I was able to climax tonight.
Hello,
I would say it’s the depression medication causing your issue along with you being anxious to finish
If it's an SSRI anti depressant it certainly will, some more than others
I agree with OneJoker that some anti depressants can interfere with sexual function. A little bit ironic - don’t you think? It’s also a shame that your wife has lost interest in your 8” erection, hopefully that will change. Have you two had a frank conversation about this? That’s a good place to start. Good luck.
agree with xsevenx it’s good to talk, sit down and have that conversation with your wife
I think at a certain point in women’s body changes, they don’t want to have intercourse as it hurts even with lube etc. In the same boat re climax and wife, sometimes takes forever to orgasm on my own. I think we need to be sensitive to our partners, but find ways for self satisfaction. But I do think it gets harder with age even without medication causing issues.
100% medication this is well known, trouble is if you have been on it a long time when you come off you might find the opposite happens
I had the same problem when I was taking Gabapentin for nerve pain. If I stopped it for just two days, I could have an orgasm.
Just wish I had half that size lol at least you can get hard. After I got circumcised a lot of my sensitivity has gone And it’s been over a year
I’m going to throw out an idea to that may or may not be possible for and I guarantee it will rock the moral sensitivities of so so many. In fact after reading as I type I will not continue other than saying I agree with most of the responses given prior that medication changes are worth first inspection with your doctors. I’ll send another suggestion in a chat if you’re interested in hearing more from me. Best wishes.
Ok I'm listening
Apologies, because I lack enough tech savvy to understand how to follow and reply in conversation I believe I hit reply at the wrong spot when I intended to reply to Barry Simpson in his conversation on the subject of penis health and masturbation. I have long since replied to him in a chat conversation.
I’m not sure what antidepressant medication you’re on but I was on Paxil for at least seven years before my new psychiatrist told me it was known to cause problems with ejaculation. He gradually switched me over to Wellbutrin, which has been a game changer. However, due to chronic pain and a pelvic floor that’s too tight I have also had a decrease in sensitivity. Fortunately the Myofascial Release therapist who informed me of the tightened pelvic floor was able to open it up by stretching my hip flexors and other connective tissue to awaken my sensitivity. Whenever I am fortunate enough to get one of those treatments I notice a vast improvement the next time I have sex because all of the sensitivity has been restored. The only way to describe it is it feels like I’m a teenager again—without the premature ejaculation and acne. If you can’t find a myofascial release therapist nearby you can do hip flexor exercises and stretches to get similar results.
Best wishes to you!
Blimey mate that’s a good size Cock!
