peeing after circumcision

this is day 11 post surgery. This has been a pain free experience, wound is healing but a little smelly at times but no infection. The annoying thing i am experiencing is when i pee its like a fire hose and goes in every direction. Is this the same for everyone.

Just a fire hose but I suspect it's me that's causing that. Not enough water and holding to much time because I need to change dressing (I think it's called that; not native English speaker)

I can't say I have had that happen. Sometimes pre-cum will accumulate at the end and dry out. It will then cause that spray affect you describe. Try wetting a toilet paper wad before urinating and wiping the end. Try to spread the urethral opening wipe wiping to make sure it's clear of stuff. That is what I think is going on here. I may be wrong but give that a try.

Do not worry it's probably because of the inflamation and swelling. Let it settle down. As long as you dont have pain, burning during peeing and you are able to empty your bladder you should be fine.

I’m nearly in week 4 post op and it’s stopped until the very end where the flow isn’t as strong and it goes everywhere 😂 has gotten better over time though, have sit down wees for now buddy

Thanks. I do sit down or its like the spray on a shower head. If I was stand up and aim at the bath never mind the toilet I would still miss it. 🚿🔫

Like Jamesmajor, mine has settled a lot from initially spraying in all directions to being a direct flow except at the end when the flow weakens and it skews off (usually left??!). I'm now able to reduce that problem by "pushing" when the flow starts to weaken. Also cautiously pulling the skin back at that point tends to help. The occassional pee still veers off left but less and less. Still sitting and peeing at home but have now managed to use a urinal on a few occassions if the toilets are empty. Quite successful (apart from a couple of wet fingers 😅

Would imagine so, like a fountain effect. There is still a lot of internal swelling and healing going on, it should return to normal as that swelling subsides.

Make sure you’re always rinsing it with water after you pee! I would only use tissue to get rid of any urine after but I ended up getting an infection of the tip of my penis. Used some cream and went away quickly but the doc said reason being was because I wasn’t rinsing it after. Good luck buddy. Nearly 4th week mark for me so going to try have sex soon. Wish me luck 😂😂😂

I was advised to six weeks minimum and safer with 8 weeks for sex by the surgeons. I am keeping everything meticulously clean

Oh, on the nhs website and the notes I have says wait till at least 4 weeks

I have had the same problem with the direction of the per and I’m on day 12. Still sprays everywhere. For the first few days of the operation I would need a pee instantly after drinking some water etc.
