Lack of erections

Hi,I'm 43 and for a while now I haven't been getting erections during the day. I know u don't get as many, but surely I should be getting random erections?

Is this the start of ED? Should be be taking a little blue pill?

I haven't had sex for 9 years now, would this have something to do with it ? Is it a case of use it or lose it ?

Thanks for any info

your issue may be caused by your lifestyle, as in diet and exercise, any medication you may be taking, lots of factors could play a part, you should have an open chat with your doctor

Hey Cuzzy you are not a teenager anymore. I think it would be odd if you were getting spontaneous daytime erections in the absence of sexual stimulation.

If you are getting morning erections that’s normal. You only need the blue pill if you are unable to achieve and maintain enough firmness for penetration and/or masturbation.

Thanks guys for the comments. Wasn't sure if it was down to stress or anything and didn't want to go to the Dr if it was nothing

I agree with the comments / replies and at 72 would certainly say from memory that spontaneous erections (other than when waking first thing in the morning) were for me a teenage / early 20s experience. Things definitely calmed down in my 40s. Having said that, if you do have a problem getting hard when you want to masturbate, it is worth getting checked for heart and blood circulation issues. ED can be an early warning for heart disease. Don't self-treat by taking over-the-counter ED pills. See a doctor just in case.

Hey Dude , I’m 41 and was really embarrassed to admit to my doctor I was having problems, but the stress it caused worrying about it was to much . My doctor asked me a bunch of sexual questions and examined me , he sent me to urology for a better work up as I was not having daytime or nighttime erections . My urologist also did an exam and a few questions then asked if I have ever tried cialis or viagra I said no . He prescribed cialis for me ( side note these pills are not cheap 30 pills for $100 ) he ordered 20 mg pills so I cut them in half for 10 mg and get 2 months worth I added l arginine to my vitamins as well dude I feel like a teenager again I take the cialis daily and now get erections like a normal man . Good luck !

I'm amazed you were getting them even at 40. Can't remember many since my 20's but I do jerk off a bit too often!
