I think you should and let them take you to a doctor. I wish I had said something when I was younger to my folks. I still have an issue

Hi, I would encourage you to see a physician for evaluation. It's never too late.

I suggest you would because you wouldn’t know hot to take care of that. I went through it for years and when it tear it can be painful.

Yes, I think it's a good idea to ask your parents to see a doctor.

What is your age?

You haven't said how old you are, or what you mean by a "tight foreskin", but it's not clear if there's a problem here.

1) how far (if at all) can you retract your foreskin when it's soft, and how far when it's hard? Does not being able to retract ever cause you pain?

2) How old are you? If you're under 18, I'd definitely wait a while to see how things look later.

Assuming you over 18, but do not worry about telling your parents if you concerned. You can always see a Doc' without consulting your parents and you should be offered a chaperone if appropriate. Given that, unless it is painfully tight you could just try gentle stretching exercises.

Good luck

Yes. You don't want to go through life with a faulty foreskin that will interfere with proper sexual pleasure.

The sooner you get it sorted out the better it will heal and you will have a fully functioning penis.

Your parents are there for you, even if it seems to be embarrassing or weird talking to them about your penis.
