Dorsal Slit post op issue

I was wondering if anybody else has had a dorsal slit instead of a full circumcision and what was their experience.

I had mine about 2 months ago. The initial healing, stitches dissolving etc has been all fine BUT I have 2 issues:

1. it seems where the cuts have healed, it has also hard up the scars tissue. Kind of tightening up the skin. and I can’t pull the foreskin back still. I can see the head but the opening is not wide enough, especially if I’m hard. I’m hoping is just a question of stretching exercises but I can’t because of point 2.

2. At the base of the cut, it looked like all healing initially. But now it keeps tearing up. I think it happens from spontaneous erection. And the operation has created a new natural fold of the skin which gets easily sore and looks like almost tearing itself.

I raised the issue and waiting to be seen again. But I wasn’t give any cream or advised of stretching or keeping the foreskin supple.

Advice?

Regrettably, dorsal slits alone are the worst thing possible for the relief of phimosis (tight foreskin). Very often, as you have found, the skin just tightens up again in its new position, leaving you no better off than before. A dorsal slit is NOT a circumcision however, as there is no 'cutting around' - the definition of that term!

Aesthetically, the bunch of foreskin left hanging below the glans is both unattractive and can cause discomfort to your partner during sex.

It would seem that your only action will be to get a revision to properly remove your foreskin and actually circumcise you.
