16 days post op, salt wash?

16th day post op of my curcumcision.

Everything seems to be fine, no pain or sensitivity wearing clothes. Most of the swelling is gone, just abit behind the head.

Question is I’m sure the majority of stitches are still in place and should I start some sort of salt wash to help them dissolve? Any advice would be appreciated on wether it’s worth it and what’s the best way to salt wash if it is.

I assume they dissolvable stitches ?

You could just fill a beaker with a teaspoon of salt and warm water, pop it in and swish around. I bathed with about a handful of salt in about 30cm of warm water.

they are dissolvable yeah, does the salt water help them to go quicker? I’ve read mixed opinions so trying to get someone’s perspective

I started on day 5 with the baths, initially using baby soap then moving on to the salt.

I am told the salt helps the healing process by keeping the area clean and slowly dissolving the stitches. I have read of some unpicking them when they did not fall out quick enough !

I would much rather let the salt do the work !
