Post circumcision day 15 bleeding and pain

Had circumcision 15 days ago and will not stop bleeding through the stitches .. called the surgeon thought I'm crazy just said wrap it with gauze and keep doing it until it stops.

It's so painful and and have a huge lump around the cut 20mm in and 20 mm thick and went into hospital again as I'm worried and in line said it's not normal to bleed after so many days but it's ok and keep bandaging to stop the bleeding .. anyone else experience these problems

I was circumcised about 6-7 weeks ago due to quite a severe case of 'pinhole' phimosis, where basically my foreskin was almost glued together without ever having my glans exposed my entire life. Like you I had some persistent bleeding for the first couple weeks. Not consistent bleeding, but it would come and go (mainly when removing underwear or dressings, as the previously dried blood would get stuck to the fabric and rip it open on the way out). If your case is literally non-stop bleeding, I'd definitely get that re-checked.

I was lucky enough to be working from home during the time and found the best solution for me was to leave the penis out without any dressing or underwear for as long as possible (sometimes the entire day) to give the sutures enough time to heal without putting any strain on the bleeding area. I'd suggest you try the same if your circumstance allows for it.

I'd also use some antibiotic ointment to stop the risk of any infection. My urologist recommended a light topical ointment called Chlorsig 1% (traditionally meant for treating eye infections).

It will end, I promise. I hated every living second of the first 2-3 weeks post-circumcision, but am only now feeling much better with my decision. Still have quite a bit of swelling around the glans, like a donut shape where the sutures were, but it's a lot more manageable to go about my day-to-day.

I had an infection and had been to 2 hospitals this week and was helped with antibiotics on drip then afterwards at home .It helped the infection go but the swelling was still there and the bleeding .. Yesterday I went to local hospital and said infection was gone but put me onto a gauze to pack and dress the wound with Bactigras over night it helped and repacked again now still bleeding but not as much as I have packed it .Hopefully like you say it will get better ..

I had to have surgery Phimosis and also Prostate all in one and that didn't help with a catheter in there while trying to heal .

I wouldn't get circumcised if I knew the post surgery dramas and aftercare was not relayed in how or what to do to recover it was here you go home and fend for yourself .I didn't feel like the surgeons and the receptionist of him actually cared at all in when I called for help was like I was crazy and here we are 16 days and still bleeding.

Can't explain the lump, that is probably one for the Surgeon.It is normal to bleed but only a little. Try keeping it covered for a couple of days. By that I mean do not change for the two days. It should have dried by then if not, again, one for the Doc'.

Quick update for all.It's day 23 and it's finally stopped bleeding and the bactigras really helped stop this constant bleeding still swollen but my surgeon said it will subside take quite a while .. I had a really sensitive penis and I couldn't even walk with the friction of the underwear was just excruciating...

I was advised to use numbit cream absolutely sensational I thought I would never ever over come sensitivity still have a way to go but please use this and can go about your daily activities until the brain learns there is no foreskin there anymore ..

Keep positive will get better but takes a long time and the aftercare really is not out there for adults at all 😀
