Glans Problems

I got circumcised on the 24th Dec healing went well but I've developed a red rash on my glans that will not go away. I've been using castor oil as it feels very dry on occasions. To me it feels like new skin is growing on the glans. Has anyone else experienced this or do I need too see a Dr for some cream.. Or is it part of the healing process?

Hi your glans will eventually dry out and peel this is pretty normal at your stage of circumcision as you’ve now got no skin to keep the glans moist. I would personally leave it to dry out by applying oil you are prolonging the drying out process. Eventually your glans will settle and stop peeling/drying out.

Thanks mate advice taken i will stop using the oil and leave nature take its course I think.. Just looks really red and unattractive at the moment and I want it to go.. Its getting me down a bit 🥺

That’s the best advice I can give you 😃 it for I’ll do for a little while but your at the final stage now its the longest part of the circumcision journey but I promise you it will eventually dry out and be as normal as can be. Just keep your head up your not alone it happens to the best of us 👍
