Hi guys I got circumcised but as per the surgeon he has given me a partial circumcision which means he has left some amout of foreskin to cover my glans, but unfortunately I have developed edema and the foreskin where the stitches were made is swollen. Hence I am unable to retract it over the glans. Although I have been taking Chymoral forte to reduce the edema but I am super freaked out coz I am unable to move the foreskin up and down. It's been 8 days since my circumcision.....

8 days is still really soon. Give it time, the swelling should go down. It was almost 2 weeks before the swelling started to go for me, though I had full circumcision!
Swelling will subside it’s still early.
Don't worry..I also had parcia circumcision by zsr method. My stiches fell off exactly after 16 days but in some cases it may take month also. Now it is around 2 months from my circumcision but the skin join still feels tight..but is is better than previous tightness.
The tightness is also getting down day by day.
Don't worry. You are not alone
Thanks for the reassurance I have been putting icepacks on it twice a day. Hoping the donut swelling goes down in a couple of days. It's been a little tasking on my mental health. Kind of overthinking a bit
Unfortunately, ice pack won't help with the swelling issue, when you have passed the first week aka inflammation phase.
Does that mean the donut swelling is never going to go down?
No, it doesn't, but your body needs time to repair the damages of male circumcision. The surgery cut all lymphatic vessels on surface of the penis. Interstitial fluid has no easy way flow back to groin area where the nearest lymphatic nodes locate.
It’s just going to take time,I’m 5 months in and I still have swelling on the left side under the glans but it’s slowly going down.It takes at least a year to heal properly, sometimes 18 months or more, once you get to the 6 week + mark you can start to massage the area with fragrance free vitamin e oil to help reduce scarring and to ease some of the fluid out of the area.
