Male circumcision damages lymphatic system on penis shaft skin. Interstitial fluid can not easily flow back to groin area where the nearest lymph nodes locate. Your body will heal part of lymphatic vessels, but it takes time to recover.

As long as you have staples on, it's quite painful to use even light pressure bandage on incision line.

I'm 3 months post op... I still have visible swelling near the Corona and below frenulum. Looks like it might take a long time to settle
