Constant erection ..

Guys i just wanna to ask.. im on my day 10 now. Im having constant/frequent erection at night. Even the pain is getting lesser now, but feel a bit weird because sometimes i awake because it is hardened and prolonged.

And i have to walk around or sits, then only my d**k will be relaxed and back to normal but if not, it will continue erecting. And i realize it will take time to put my d**k into normal/relax mode. 3-4 minutes.. which is different before i circumcised . Before was easy. Now it’s a bit hard to put into relax mode.

Is this normal?? Is it matter of time ??

The thing that worked for me was curling up in the fetal position as tight as possible when I woke up with an erection and it would go away fast.

Thank you for responding. I already tried that method. Not really quite working but i think the pain is fading away. Maybe matter of time i guess. How’s your condition,?

Sorry that didn't help for you. Thursday will be 6 weeks in. My incision is just about fully healed. I have one tiny section that should be good in another day or two.

Wow about to turn 6 weeks? Must be a roller coaster ride right? Feeling better now bro?? Im on day 11. Still got pain, swelling , , glans sensitive and itchy sometimes. Hmmmm.. long journey right

Ya man its definitely been a difficult and frustrating journey. I'm feeling way better now. Certain areas are still sensitive but the swelling is mostly all gone now. The best advice I can give you is to use hydrocollide patches on top of some hydrogel to cover your wounds. I believe I lost a lot of healing time by trying to air dry then and using gauze to cover my wounds. At times the new skin would rub off and I'd lose progress. The hydrocollide patches keep the wound noise and it heals without scabbing up which is nice. I wish I would've learned about it sooner.

Oh lord.. i was doing exact same air dry and gauze method.. and frustrated looking at wound progression. Thank you for the tips.. will definitely give a try and update u. Im gonna try nexcare brand. Btw, when do u start bathing and wears underwear? So i should still practice cleaning wound with salt water?? Thank you so much for the tips bro

I was able to wear underwear with the guaze since pretty much the beginning. It's really based on your comfort as long as you can protect the wound surface. I've yet to take a bath lol. I shower and clean the wound once a day with surgical soap. I tried the salt water method once and it actually caused my frenelum stitch to open slightly and bleed so I never tried it again.

Good day ahead dude. I just bought hydrocolloid patch as u suggest. May i ask how to use that thing? I mean, i can wrap it on my incision and leave it for a day without even doing the dressing?

Because it stated that “last long for 48hours”. Im confused bro.

I used a sterile knife and cut the patch into pieces to fit the areas I wanted to cover. Then I put the hydrogel or bacitracin on the wound and covered it. I personally changed them daily because I wanted to clean my wound once a day but they can last up to 3 days on certain brands. You should be fine if you wait 2 days then clean and repatch though.

Can i shower like normal if i use this patch. It says water resistant. Hehe. Did u notice speedy recovery by using this bro? Thank you for letting me know about this

Tbh I'm not sure about the shower question. I changed mine right before the shower each time to clean the wound and then put another patch on after. I healed faster with with patches for sure. Goodluck man.

Erections are very normal and will stop waking you up after about 2 weeks! I never knew the amount of erections I was getting while sleeping until getting cut! Be patient it takes a while

Thank you for the clarification carl.. before i was always awake due to erection and pain. Now i awake every 1 hour due to only erection. No pain. Deep down inside im worry if this is unusual side effects. Because the erection won’t go until i have to wake up , walk around and sit. (Around 3-4 minutes) to put it into relax mode. but no pain now. Quite worried.

This problem will go away right carl?,

Yeah! It goes away. I had my circumcision back in June so it’s almost been a year. I am back to my normal self. So, yeah, those erections will diminish with time

Because your glans are now fully exposed and the skin on the glans are still raw and rather new to the experience even slight rubbing will cause excitement Abe leads to an erection. And then during erection the skin gets stretched and that enhances the sensitivity which leads to more erection. Try the following.

- Continue to wear a gauze bandage covering the shaft where you had the incision and the lower ridge (corona) of the glans.

- during day keep the penis pointing upwards (towards your belly button) against your torso. You may need to wear a snug boxer brief.

- when you have erections go to the bathroom and sit and pee. Empty your bladder.

Over time things will becomes normal. But you will still Enjoy your erections when they happen. Erections on a tightly circumcised penis are a different experience (compared to when you were uncut).

It's quite normal as your inner skin is now exposed to air, your penis is adjusting to external climatic conditions. I had felt the same at night for almost 2 months post my circumcision operation. After that it normalised. If you sleep in air conditioning environment the erection will be longer. Be cool bro, in 3rd month you will start seeing the difference

Very normal. What is actually not normal and of concern is not getting erections during the night - circumcised or not. If you do not get them, then you need to talk to a doc.

Also, it is very likely that you got them nightly before the circ, and did not notice them. Now you notice due to the surg. They also can last for quite a good length of time, be uncomfortable and wake you up. It was like that for me and I would do those things that you did - wake up, walk around, etc.

Eventually you will stop noticing them once again and sleep right through them. Give it a time.
