Hey mate. I am on day 15. No pain or smell so far. Sit in warm salt water tub for 20 mins. Thats would help lot for reducing pain and infection
If the smell and pain are indicating that infection is already present, this is one for a doctor as oral antibiotics may be required. Salt baths are really meant to help prevent infection not necessarily cure it.
Use an old cup and put a teaspoon of table salt and use luke warm boiled water. Bath it for upto 4/5 minutes twice daily I had a similar experience, thought i had an infection going by some posts here. Everything good now, no slight smell. Pain can be normal for first week or two, but bathing it will help, take a pain killer if necessary..
I had a little smell for couple days, because of the death skin, not infection. I guess its normal.
