Hi all,

Today is 14th day post my ZSR circumsion, healing well and ring is almost 80% about out.

Only one issue i am facing is of Lymphoedema since day 2 of circumsion - the swelling is partially down but still see a donut band - My question is i see many of you guys faced this situation but how exactly this can be healed, any home remedies around this? Please share your experiences ~ I don't want to see this donut hanging for months. Your response is much appreciated. Thank you.

It will stop of itself. My lymphatic drainage just got less and less over a two week period. I kept on cleaning with saltwater and putting on dressing daily until all open wounds closed up which took about three and a half weeks. Also used antibiotic ointment and keep everything as sterile as possible. I tried not to disturb the wounds where new skin is forming through rubbing or careless removal of the gauze.

Thanks for your revert man!

My doctor told not to use saltwater to soak.. thinking why does he told that. Do you use to keep the position upright ? I feel it bit uncomfortable to do so..

My wound is all clean with no infections..just concerned about the donut swelling ~ it's 14th day today for me.

Almost everyone here went through a stressful period because things didn’t seem right including myself but it seems all turns out well for the most part. You’ll find many posts with similar concerns than yours. Follow your doctor’s advice but for myself I found some room for experimentation and then checked my body’s response. As long as the salt water solution is not too strong it can’t do harm but it might not be that necessary on day 14.

I just wanted to avoid infection at all cost since as long as you still have open wounds it remains a possibility. I also did not soak very long. It helps to loosen the gauze. I only experienced swelling in the frenulum area after a few weeks and that still seems a bit swollen. Swelling can take very long to go down according to many members here. I had a low, loose-ish circ so I think the typical donut swelling is something that occurs if you have a lot of mucosal inner skin left. If things look just a little better everyday, you’re probably healing well.
