Circumcision pain getting the better of me :(

Hi all, I’m currently 5 days post circ and I’m not sure how much longer I can take. Feel like I’m going to be in pain forever!

Haven’t been able to get a proper nights sleep due to erections and have still been working full time so I’m feeling very run down at the moment.

Any advice on how to reduce swelling, I have a fair bit on the rear side of my dick, near where my banjo string was. Also any advice on how to be more comfortable walking when at work, I’m a construction worker so constantly on the move.

Someone tell me it get better!!

YES! It gets better. You had surgery man. You need to heal. Doing construction work is probably not advisable. No wonder you are in such pain. Most of us took at least a week off to heal. But, I do know that some have to work. Keep it clean. Wear tight underwear when walking or working. That helped me a lot. I took two week off work. Yeah, nocturnal erections are a bitch. But, it does get better. Give it time and be patient.

Thanks man. Unfortunately being self employed meant I had to go back to work 1 day post op, was a killer. I have been avoiding any heavy lifting etc. Can I ask when you started seeing results, reduction in swelling and such

For me I started seeing reduction in swelling after two weeks. However, for two weeks I pretty much stayed home naked or lose shorts and applied polysporin as directed by my surgeon in order to avoid infection.

The best medicine is REST!!! Take a break! Your doctor probably told you to take at least a week off. I know one has to work, but you need to take care of yourself as well! So i echo what the others have been saying. It gets better but not if you are going yo be walking, working, etc etc.

I think I underestimated how much rest help! Thankfully got the weekend coming up so I can relax, and take Monday and Tuesday off for good measure

For me it started getting better after 1 week. On 10th day and I see swelling reducing everyday , able to walk freely , soreness reduces everyday. Feeling positive at this point in time. Stitches inact but hoping to see it coming off in few days.

I’m jealous man! Did you take a weeks rest? I’m day 6 today, still sore and swollen but had a full 6 hours uninterrupted sleep last night so feel better mentally today! feeling positive

I am working from home so was able to take good care:Dip penis in warm water for 10 min twice a day

Apply petroleum jelly thrice a day

I was’t able to sleep properly for a week because of discomfort but as soon as I started having sound sleep, things got better.

Im more than 2 months in. It does get A LOT better, dont worry. Its a long way thought, I still feel sensitive sometimes when my penis is sitting at an awkward angle. For me the first 2 weeks were horrible (mostly the first) and I cant think of how you still go to work right after only a few days. I work in Aviation and for me it was hard to go to work after 2 weeks so I cant imagine your situation. You should rest some more man. Also dont give up!

Pain will def get better however for me the second week was worse than first. It all takesTime I’m 6 weeks in on mine
