Hello. I am scheduled to have a circumcision on Dec 11. Do you know if hospitals might postpone because of COVID? Would you personally postpone and wait until things get better?

Circumcision and COVID
Some of our local hospitals have postponed elective surgeries for the next foreseeable future. Whether to postpone or not comes down to your own personal feelings about the situation. Many people are going about life (albeit with masks) almost as normal. Others are staying inside and minimizing outside visits. It all boils down to your own personal beliefs and feelings.
I had mine in June and had to take a Covid test. Everyone at the hospital were very careful and made sure that everyone followed Covid safety protocol! I really needed abs wanted to have it. So, I did!
I would think only medically necessary circumcisions would be done during COVID-19. I think it would be on a case by case basis. If medically necessary, they would probably do minor surgery depending on hospital/out-patient facility. Why are you being circumcised now? Can it be postponed? Does facility have all protective equipment. I can still have wrist surgery at least in this area. All precautions are taken. Most probably, you would have COVID test done, if not already done, for any surgery, I would think. You & Drs choice and reason to continue.
Hi hope it goes well for you, can't it wait till after this Madness over the Virus has left us all, Sorry but Ide say away from any risk to ones self, it's possible to catch anything in Hospital, Defiantly living in trying times, Ide hold on to the Hoodie a bit longer, I know its a catch 22 for all, Stay Safe
The choice is literally up to you every hospital/physician has protocols in place to ensure safety
You’ll have to take a Covid-19 test 1 week prior to your surgery date if everything comes back ok then you’ll go forward with your surgery on your scheduled surgery date
I had mine done 6 weeks ago and took a test a couple of days before. Everything was fine, and I felt safe in the hospital.
