Post circumcision and activity

Hi Guys,

Just wondering if any of you were in a fit state to drive a car shortly after getting the circumcision?

in the event that a doctor or hospital visit is necessary in the days proceeding that you were able to drive yourselves there. I know that anything outside of that would be considered kind of bonus territory but I'm referring to emergency or semi-emergency situations

I could have driven in an emergency, but wouldn't have enjoyed it.

Didnt need to but I’d of said if I had to then could have done. If you have general anaesthetic like I did when had done I believe there is a cool off period where you can’t drive because of the effects of that but after a few days in emergency I think you’ll be able to

I drove myself home straight after as it was local anaesthetic. Everything was numb anyway. I didn’t need to drive much after that for a while but it was ok, being careful getting in and out without knocking it. The actual driving part is ok

I drove after 3 days or so

And that’s fair enough. But as I said everyone is different and I think there should be some mindfulness here and being supportive

thank you all for responses

I asked this question because my wife don't drive, I live 23km from GP and over 65km from the nearest A&E

Also fairly recently moved into the area I live now so asking a neighbour to help in a case like this isn't much of an option

Dayof surgery you can. However 1-4 weeks after you want to drive sparingly and with loose pants. You find some bumps and movements get sensitive ie be careful of sudden stops.

Hi I am on day 7 I have been driving sparingly for short distances only when has seemed totally necessary as I live rurally and some things still have to be done. I'm Able to drive carefully, slower than normal ect to give time to react to avoid he needs for sudden stops. Walking and most trousers causes huge comfort and I am trying to build walking duration up gradually.

Probably the reason I am keen to build all this up asap is because I am feeling very worried about my scheduled imminent return to work. I have also been suffering with sciatica and being immobile and the stress of it all is making this worse. If necessary I guess I will have to extend my leave from work if I can.

I work as a postal worker so do about 10 miles of walking a day while carrying loads in a sideways bag it is broken up with driving for long periods, I am feeling stressed about the discretion of the issue with my colleges, using urinals again ect as urinating accurately is currently an issue and dabbing with tissue essential.

If anyone has gone through a similar situation I would appreciate any advice and help also, and reassurance of a realistic recovery time frame for returning to usual activities
