Bath post op
I took a bath yesterday which was day 17 post op for me. I think you just want make sure you incision is closed, and if it is you should be good to go.
You should be fine to take a bath by now. Hope you have not been using a high pressure or high velocity water jet on the incision area as a whole when you were showering.Baths should be not a problem . Do remember to completely dry afterwards. Like Morard93 has said , just be sure that the incision has closed up so that it doesn't sting. Also don't use bubble baths/soaps with chemicals as they may irritate the area. All the best !
Showers are preferable to baths as only clean water can reach the wound, whereas one is soaking in dirty water in a bath. Once the wound has sealed (commonly 18-21 days) there is no harm in having a bath, but it may be best to shower first to remove any dirt and then enjoy a soak in the bath if you wish. DO NOT add any bath salts, nor anything else except common salt to the bath water.
what ever you feel best ,just take your time, don't scrub, also if possible air dry ,you feel much better
I was bathing from day two. Using salt or emollient. Just warm enough to be pleasant and only for a few minutes. I found this better as the water jet I found could be painful.
As long as the wound has sealed (should have by now) then you’re OK
Its still bleeds occasionally
