I was circumcised 12 days ago due to phimosis or balanitus. everythings been fine no pain just uncomfortable. Last night it got erect and when I checked it as you do, blood was trickling down the side only a small amount and it stopped after I wiped it. Just curious is this normal at around this many days of healing to still have a little bit of blood during erections?
Also, I wasn't given any ointment or cream or anything to put on the stitchline during recovery, would you say this is necessary for or to aid the healing process, or would they only be given due to infection

There's no set duration till which bleeding(slight) may occur but generally you may see small bleeds till around 2 weeks . If you have larger bleeds better to staunch the bleed and get back to your doc . Otherwise you should be fine.
Also , nothing is necessary to be applied as such unless prescribed by your doctor and you will heal normally . After 5 weeks or so after you have healed well you may choose to use products such as bio oil to lighten the appearance of the scar. It had helped some. All the best !
First 3 weeks I had little bleeding around the stitches. This created scabs. Week 4 my stitches and scabs starting falling off in the shower and when i removed my bandages. By the end of week 5, all of the stitches were gone, and I had one scab near the frenulum which healed up by taking anti-biotics.
Week 6, I had no bleeding and no stitches or scabs.
Im on week 4 now. Went hospital when it was bleeding id developed a hematoma which was the bleeding. Done a course of antibiotics and antibiotic ointment bleeding stopped. Went back to work on monday very irritated and swollen, got home looked more red than ever. Tuesday morning pus was weeping out from where i'd bled. Currently signed off work and on another course of antibiotics. Hopefully be sorted by next week or week after. 😥
