How do you prevent infection and keep clean while you still are still bandaged. How do you clean the tip properly?

Don't touch the tip with unclean hands and dribble little water over the tip after you pee. No need to use any soap on it as you might irritate it. Also keep it and the dressing dry always. Also be sure to keep changing your dressing at least 2-3 days or upon your doctor's orders . Cheers !

How long have you been bandaged? Were you told you could change it if it got soiled? I am hoping your only 24-48 hours post op...typically that’s when dressings are off so that you can clean. Please check in with your doctor regarding bandage and dressing change.

The best way to prevent infection was to have left it alone.

Fair point Rood !

My bandage fell off on day two. From then on I would have a warm bath in salt water. Keep it shallow and short. A mild baby soap is another option.

how long since done ? did dr advise how long to keep it bandaged ?
