Foreskin’s Tight

Hi all, I’m 17 and I’m experiencing tight foreskin on my penis, I’ve done my research and it says foreskins are supposed to be able to retract between age 6-8 and it’s still tight for me. Should I be worried at my age or carry on waiting?

Phimosis (tight, non-retractable foreskin) should not exist beyond about 8 years old at the latest. It can inhibit sexual activity and pleasure on the older teenager and adult.

You should see your doctor about curing the phimosis.

Tightness is still fairly common at 17 and usually doesn't cause problems. However, ideally it should be slowly resolving. Begin a regimen of applying tension to the tight opening to fix it. phimosisjourney.com is a good guide to follow. Don't worry.

Just tried the link you sent, it doesn't seem to exist, did you misspell something?

Just search for it on Google and you can get there . Also wouldn't hurt to get an opinion from a doc . I have tried some of the things that was on the site but it didn't work for me. Ended up getting a circ and didn't regret it.

Hope it works out for you.

Hey that is phimosis which is what i had you will most likely need to seek medical attention but in the mean time get a virgin oil and rub it on the area and do some soft skin pulling to stretch the area and do that daily until you see the doc. I had to do that so it wouldn't begin to cause too much pain. Definitely go see the urologist

also keep that area very very clean do not skip days to shower. That warm clean water and soap will help the affected area. And do the slight skin stretches in the shower/bath also.

I would say 6-8 years old is average, many go into their teens before being able to retract comfortably. For me it was late twenties.

Never caused any real issues at the time for me, just pull back gently as much as you can whilst in bath or shower, this will help stretch skin and keep area clean.

If it causing you pain or undue stress consider consulting Doc'. Initially you may be prescribed steroid ointment to help stretch the foreskin. Surgery may be an option if it is a real problem.

Good luck.
