Hi, its been 9 days since I was circumcised. Is it common to still have some bleeding? A stitch came out a few days ago, and the blood is still coming (not alot - when I pat it down with gauze there will be blood. When I change my underwear there is also some blood.
Any tips? Is this normal?
Do you put on bandage everyday?
I bandaged mine comfortably tight, it helped a lot. I cleaned with plain sea salt water before putting on ointment and new bandage everyday.
A lost stitch may very well cause a small amount of bleeding but that should stop. Things like erections may, however, keep opening the wound. You could try using something like steri-strips to keep the wound closed. If bleeding persists, you should see a doctor.
