After circumcision a couple of months after its healed do scars remain? When your erect do you have scars from the stitches? Is it smooth? I dont wanna get oral n my girl feel all those bumps from the scars. Do they go away?

You should use something like bio oil or coconut oil to massage daily into the scar to help it fade. Some bumps may not go completely.

I figured they wouldnt, that sucks but thanks I'll keep that in mind when I'm at that stage. It's barely been a week.

I hope all goes well.

I was worried about the same thing for a while. I took car of my scar very well and it is now not very noticeable. Some have said it looks like I was cut at birth. In the first few months it was very noticeable to me. I was cut in 2018. I have pictures posted of the progress.

Took me between 9 and 12 months before it was totally settled. But it will settle.

That long huh, I hope it doesnt take that long. Did you put anything on it? Any cream/ointment.

hi Man, most people seem much quicker. I didn't use anything, maybe that's why!

Everyone is different and scars may be more obvious on some than on others. In most cases, the only 'scar' is at the actual line of circumcision when there is bound to be some indication of where the foreskin was removed. In many folk this is nothing more than a slightly darker line and a sharp colour change between former inner and outer foreskin.

Provided the stitches are not tied too tightly and are removed once they have done their job (ie after about 14 days) there should be no scarring from the stitches themselves. The swelling you may have between the stitches should smooth out as all your other swelling subsides. Remember that a teen or adult circumcision takes 6-8 weeks to heal.

In respect of the basic circumcision line, many men like a visible line around their penis as it shows they are most definitely circumcised and not just skinned back. They regard the scar line as their "ring of confidence" proving they can never be harbouring smegma or infections under a foreskin.

The stitch marks will fade over time, but not quickly.
