Day 13 - frenulum not healing as well as shaft

I got circumcised 13 days ago and the shaft wound is healing well. It’s not that sore anymore but the frenulum wound where it was removed isn’t healing as well. It still Oozes a bit a night and can wake me up as it is stinging and just looks worse in appearance. Is this normal at this stage ?

Tomorrow will be 15 weeks into the recovery for me and my frenulum still looks swollen and not what I would like it to look like. Your frenulum will look normal in some time, possibly weeks to months. Is the stinging due to night erections stretching your now swollen frenulum? Or is it stinging in general? I had that issue in the beginning myself but it has since gone away without me doing anything. As for the oozing, is it yellow, does it have a bad/foul smell? It’s most likely lymph fluid which is totally normal and nothing to worry about as long as you keep the area clean. If you suspect it’s a possible infection, you should contact your urologist.

Yeah I’d say it’s the lymph fluid like you suggested. I’ve started getting Salt baths every few days and I clean the area daily with saline water. It’s worse in the mornings cause of the erections during the night and then it’s only uncomfortable when something like a dressing of my underwear rub against it.

Don’t think there’s any infection so I’ll keep up the way I’m going and hope it heals soon.
