Day 7: completed a week after circumcision. Erections are making life hell. Am I healing well?

At 3 pm today, I will complete my 1 week post operation. Swelling is going down rapidly, but not a single stitch has fallen down. I had to stay awake at nights to overcome erections and sometimes wake up with painful erections. There is an itching sensation around the stitches and few stitches are really tight I wonder how will they fall. I have attached a pic, tell me if it seems abnormal.

Please see and tell me if he really took excess skin. Erections are not causing me bleed but they are irritating coz I know they are not good at this moment.

I don’t think the doctor took too much skin off. It’s very normal at this stage. Painful erection and irritation is totally normal because your skin has not fully healed yet.

Should the doctor not given you something to stop these erections for awhile i was in the understanding that they could give you a temporary drug to give the wound a head start im in the Uk and hearld they sometimes do this but I'm not 100 per cent sure they actually do here as haven't had this operation.

I am not sure but such drug can affect erection afterwards that's why they don't provide such drugs. Anyway I am trying to shift my focus from sex and masturbation towards something constructive so that I can overcome these sleepless erect nights

To reduce erections in the early days following my Circ' I would wear tight pants to reduce movement. And, as you suggest, put your mind elsewhere.
