I’m posting this for my friend who also has benign vertigo. She has been given these tablets by a private menopause consultant. Vagifem 10mg tabletsOestrogel actuation gel 750 mg Cyclogest 200 micronised progesterone just wondered if anyone else has had these tablets with good results. Apparently they are all plant based but still have a lot of side effects. So she is quite worried about taking them. Also to add her husband paid for this appointment. She agreed to go but really feel her symptoms such as depression may not be due to the menopause but her family situation. Thanks I’m advance to anyone who replies 🙂 also posted in women’s health

Your friend has been given HRT. Vagifem is a low-dose localised oestrogen used to help genitourinary symptoms of menopause (GSM) and the oestrogen gel and Cyclogest are systemic HRT.

I was seen for urinary frequency…and prescribed these medications.
As it happens I didn’t try either of them, I feel my problems are more likely linked to a previous diagnosis which affects muscles.
I’m 20yrs post menopause, and don’t want HRT now.
🙂 But it can make a dramatic difference for some people.
These medications are unlikely to help with depression, unless menopause problems are at the root of the problem.
🤔 It could be more helpful to try a mild anti depressant first, or talk to a Therapist.
