I’m not able to do HRT due to it making my Restless Leg Syndrome worse. Any suggestions for alternatives to relieve hot flashes, etc. Thanks in advance for any help!

Alternatives to HRT
Hello, I can't take HRT and ended up in hospital 4 times due to stroke like symptoms, possibly from progesterone intolerance. I get hot flushes that are preceded by a wave of anxiety, they wake me up in the night too. They're not so bad like some who have to change their bedclothes.
I have a battery powered hand held fan with 3 settings, a cooling gel pad that I put under my calfs and sip cold water when one comes on. Not wearing synthetic clothing can help too, layers are better and cardigans instead of jumpers...on and off and off and on!!
Vitamin D is a hormone and not a vitamin as such and it's very important for menopause. A deficiency can lower testosterone leading to fatigue, hair loss, weight gain and mood swings. My GP told me recently that it can help joint pains so I started taking a 2000iu dose once a day for a few weeks then halve it. Vit K2 is meant to be taken alongside D3 if you take higher doses long term.
Starflower and Evening Primrose oil combined 1000mg may also help. CBD oil, not from Holland and Barrett, but from a reputable source can help with anxiety, mood, digestion and sleep. You can Google best CBD oil UK for the latest updates on the best brands.
Magnesium can help with the central nervous system, either through Epsom Salts bathing or through ingesting Magnesium Glycinate for example. Menopause causes CNS disruption leading to RLS, peripheral neuropathy...think crawling scalp, tingling, pins and needles, numbness and other delightful symptoms.
Lastly, reducing alcohol and caffeine can stop hot flushes happening more frequently due to them being a vasodilator, encouraging the blood vessels to widen and accept more blood flow.
