I'm 49, been on hrt for 7 years now (tablets) but recently swapped over to gel. For the past 3 months I have been getting stuff painful elbows. It's affecting my work and home life.
ive been to the osteopath, had acupuncture and now the doctors are trying me on gout meds but apparently you can't get gout in 2 places at the same time.
one thing I did wonder was I started using testosterone cream 3 months ago. Not sure that could cause such pain. It's where the ligament meets the bone.
hi ya. So I did stop hrt I swapped from tablets to the gel. I have small scared kidneys and the doctor said it would be better if they didn't have to progress the hrt. X
I went to see a hormone doc privately, and all questions were answered everything made sense ,never looked back, now out the other side, menopause is all about hormones as you know, lack of,deffo worth seeing someone trained in the field if you can.Is the Dr that said not to move forward with HRT a GP ?
sorry. I meant I didn't stop hrt. Now on Sandra gel. She is a hormone doctor at a private clinic. I went to see her about starting on testosterone cream. I still don't think I'm on high enough dose of hrt as still getting night sweats and suffering with bad joint pain. Back to see the doctor in 2 weeks.
