My daughter had vm

Hi my daughter had vm 18 months ago age 13 it was a horrific experience for her and she is still not right now.She continues to get severe headaches and cannot sleep at night.Her school work had suffered as a result and she is now struggling with anxiety that she won’t pass her exams.Any advice greatly appreciated x

Hi sorry to hear your daughter has suffered with VM I to have had it and know what she is going through.

Things do get better but it's a long road an my experience shows my doctors have little understanding of it.

When I found this site it was like a breath of fresh air finding out others were in the same boat and that even though mine was 4 years ago it's not uncommon to still have and feel the effects.

There not much you can do about the head aches they will clear in time but prevent the anxiety getting a grip as the vm will play with the mind and not just the brain I began to feel depression some thing I have never felt this before and at first did not relate it to vm .

Only after hearing of the problems from others did I realise how common this area of post vm was so try and prevent her feeling down and in tome things should get back to normal.
